LDA’s new DG takes charge

Newly appointed Director General of the Lahore Development Authority (LDA) Dr Ijaz Munir assumed office on Monday.

Farash Town to get basic facilities

Islamabad: Capital Development Authority (CDA) Chairman Syed Tahir Shahbaz Sunday issued directives to start work on the construction of roads and to provide basic facilities to the people of Farash Town.

In a visit to Farash Town, he said the basic facilities would be provided to the town so that the people, who have been allotted plots could shift in the town.

He directed Engineering Wing of CDA would expedite the construction of remaining roads and patchwork of damaged roads in coordination with Planning and Estate Wings and formulate a strategy for upgradation and rehabilitation of dwellers of ‘katchi abadis’ in Farash Town on war footing.

Member Planning and Design Syed Mustafain Kazmi, Member Estate, Shaista Sohail and officers of Planning and Engineering were also present.

He said that CDA would make all out efforts for removal of encroachments from Farash Town to develop it into potential town where the residents could enjoy basic civic facilities. Continue reading
