RAWALPINDI – Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) officials have been directed to take strict action against 150 illegal constructions in controlled areas and 13 housing schemes of the garrison city.
The Director General (DG) RDA taking notice of rampant illegal constructions in the city, ordered the officials to make all out efforts to curb the illegal activity.
According to RDA reports, 150 illegal constructions are present in controlled areas and 13 housing schemes, while there a lot more unreported illegal houses and shops in the city.
Meanwhile, illegal constructions continue in the areas including Morgah Main Bazaar, GT Road, Airport Road, High Court Road, Gulraiz and other areas but concerned officials of RDA are turning blind eye towards the situation.
When contacted, DG RDA Chaudhry Naseer said action would also be taken against the concerned officials if illegal constructions continued. Continue reading
