ISLAMABAD – Residents of Sector I-9/3 and 4 are facing troubles due to lack of post office in the sector. The residents, expressing their concern, said that non availability of a post office in the area was creating problems for them as they have to go to other sectors to post their letters. They said that majority of them usually prefer to post their letters and parcels through private courier services that was causing revenue loses to Pakistan Post too.
The citizens said that dispute of land for the post office in Choudhry Market was still unresolved between the Capital Development Authority (CDA) and Pakistan Post, which was the only hurdle in setting up the post office.
The residents demanded of the CDA chairman and higher officials of Pakistan Post to resolve the issue of land which is between two government departments, as soon as possible and set up post office in the sector. Continue reading
