LAHORE, Aug 27: The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) warned on Monday the prospective buyers and the public at large not to buy any commercial or residential plot/property in five illegal residential schemes being developed in the controlled area of the LDA.
According to a spokesperson for the LDA, these illegal schemes include Munir Garden (Niaz Baig Road, near Thokar Niaz Beg), Lalazar Garden (80-foot Peco Road near Margzaar Colony), Mian Farm Houses (near T&T Housing Scheme, Raiwind Road), Green Avenue Housing Scheme (near Gulshan-i-Lahore Housing Scheme, Khayaban-i-Jinnah) and Yousuf Town (Defence Road).
The LDA spokesperson says these schemes have flouted land sub-division rules. People intending to buy plots in Lahore schemes should verify the approval status of private schemes from the LDA administration, says the press release.The LDA also warned the owners and developers of the five schemes to stop the trade, development works and advertisements failing which the authority will take strict legal action them.
REGULARIZES: The LDA Administration has declared its 203 officials as regular employees from the date they joined the authority as work-charge employees as per record.
According to a press release these employees include naib qasids, helpers, chowkidars, dumper drivers and other employees of grade 1 to 11. — Staff Reporter
