LAHORE, Aug 18: The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) has decided to hire property evaluating firms to assess market price of properties in its controlled residential and commercial areas as well as to suggest realistic prices for disposal of public utility sites in various housing schemes through an open auction.
The decision was taken in a meeting by LDA Director-General Ahad Cheema here on Saturday.
The initiative had been taken to safeguard ownership rights of the people in residential and commercial areas falling in the limits of LDA-controlled areas.
The LDA has invited applications from interested national tax registered firms having substantial expertise and experience in conducting valuation of property with banking, public and corporate sectors by the first week of September.
The LDA has desired such organizations/companies to be existed in the approved list of the Pakistan Banking Association and having at least five years of experience for conducting evaluation of property for banking, government or corporate sector organizations of similar scale and complexity.
The firms should possess documented evidence of conducting at least 25 valuations of the comparable scale and complexity for all property types.
The firms should have either no-limit, Rs500 million or Rs250 million valuation limit accredited to them by the Pakistan Banking Association.
Mengal has told heads of various departments to prepare Eid rosters for such employees so that fumigation, larvaciding and other anti-dengue activities continue during Eid holidays. “I will myself supervise anti-dengue campaign in the city,” Mengal said in a statement on Saturday. He said he would take action against those who would not follow the duty roster during holidays.
He said CDGL’s health wing had completed its cleanliness activities in all towns of the city. “Lady health workers, supervisors and sanitary inspectors are making city’s hospitals clean,” he added.
