CDA chief for ensuring better civic facilities

ISLAMABAD – Chairman Capital Development Authority (CDA), Engineer Farkhand Iqbal, has directed the concerned formations of the authority to expedite the pace of up-gradation, maintenance, repair and cleanliness work in all the sectors of the federal capital.

While addressing officers of different formations of the authority including sanitation, roads, environment, maintenance, enforcement, and municipal administration here on Tuesday to review the ongoing development activities, the Chairman CDA urged to ensure timely completion of the ongoing development work in different areas of sectors F-6, F-7, F-8, G-6, G-9, G-10, G-11 I-8 and Blue Area.

Engineer Farkhand Iqbal said that better civic facilities to the residents, sanitation, removal of encroachments is prime responsibility of the civic agency, adding that all concerned formations of the authority should pay their duties with mutual cooperation and understanding to achieve the target.

He said that the Authority has already initiated development work in different areas of the city under a comprehensive plan to facilitate the residents and visitors of the capital city.

He said that provision of missing facilities, maintenance and better upkeep of the city is being given priority not only in the residential sector but work has already begun in marakiz and secretariat area comprising of government offices and the houses.
