Farkhand Iqbal on Thursday directed timely completion of Citizen (sports and culture centre) Club at Fatima Jinnah Park.
The club is being developed in F-9 Park at the cost of Rs 1254.149 million and would be completed by December 2012.
The Chairman visited the club to review the development work being carried out in the Park. He was apprised that 60 percent work on the Citizen Club has been completed and the recreational facility would be opened soon for public.Speaking on the occasion the chairman CDA said that interaction between human beings is considered very healthy, which could be possible by creating facilities like clubs, community centres and parks.
He said that CDA is striving to provide the best possible recreational facilities in various sectors of the city. “In this connection, Citizen Club in Fatima Jinnah (F-9) Park, which is being constructed on vast area of land, is one of such facility, “he added.
He said this club would have the modernised recreational facilities consisting of an auditorium with the capacity of 475 seats, three conference halls two banquet halls, one party hall and two restaurants.
The club would also have a coffee shop, lounges and lobby, 48 living suits, swimming pools, fitness centres, library and other relevant facilities.
The chairman visited Fatima Jinnah (F-9) Park and directed the Project Director to gear-up the pace of work for timely completion of the development being carried out. He directed that this facility would be made self-sustainable.
Earlier, the chairman also visited Aiwan-e-Quaid and held a meeting with its executive committee.
He said that CDA would provide all the facilities for it, including erection of the direction signs, proper landscaping and beautification, parking facilities, cafeteria, prior area and the water connection. He said that CDA is begun a new era of development and the projects direly needed are being executed on priority.
