CDA demolishes 165 illegal structures

ISLAMABAD – The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has demolished around 165 illegal structures during a grand operation against encroachments in Islamabad.

Under the direction of the director Enforcement Department, the department bulldozed six houses, seven illegal rooms, two boundary walls and 150 illegal makeshifts.

Deputy Director Enforcement, Attaullah supervised the operation, while the department demolished three rooms and one boundary wall in sector F-11. Meanwhile, six illegal houses and four boundary walls were demolished in katchi abadi of I-11 sector. The department also demolished several illegal structures in G-8, G-7, Bari Imam and Sector G-11.

CDA restores 11 cancelled plots

ISLAMABAD – Following the amendments in CDA’s Restoration Policy – 2009 the Capital Development Authority has restored as many as 11 valuable commercial and residential plots across the federal capital – which were earlier cancelled by the authority for non-payment of dues or other reasons.

The residential and commercial plots included Plot No. 19 and Plot No. 21 located at Wholesale Market I-11/3, Plot No. 17 at Grain Market I-11/3, Plot No. 5 at Sanitary Ware Market I-11/3, shop-cum-flat No. 3, 4 and 9 in F-6 Markaz, Plot No. 39 and 40 at ITK Road, Plot No. 310 ITK Road, Plot No. 31-A and Plot No. 29 at Markaz G-9 have been restored by the Authority since June 3, 2011.

Four land record centres to open in two months

LAHORE, May 25: Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has said computerisation of land record is being swiftly carried out.

Service centres will be inaugurated in Saddar and Lahore Cantonment, Lodhran and Hafizabad within next two months. Whereas in other districts, service centers will start functioning by the end of the year, a handout quoted him as saying.

Presiding over a meeting to review the progress on the project, he expressed hope that people would get rid of corrupt mafia and it would also facilitate them in getting ownership deed, transfer of land and other matters. Continue reading
