Mustafa Town Housing Scheme records sealed for scrutiny

LAHORE – On the directives of Director General Lahore Development Authority Ahad Khan Cheema, records of Mustafa Town Housing Scheme has been sealed and more than 2000 files of over 2700 plots, situated in the scheme, have been closed for scrutiny.

Taking serious notice of a large number of complaints and news items circulated regarding rampant fraud and bogus exemptions/allotments in the scheme, the Director General LDA ordered to seal the record of Mustafa Town for inspection.Additional Director General (HQ) LDA Mariam Kayani personally visited the record room at LDA office Johar Town and took the records in custody. A three member committee, convened by Director Administration LDA Khalid Pervaiz and comprising of Director Estate Management Muhammad Numan Khan and Director Land Development Muazzam Rasheed, made inventory of files and sealed the records.

DG LDA orders transfers: Director General Lahore Development Authority Ahad Khan Cheema has ordered transfer of Abdul Karim, Deputy Director Engineering WASA, and posted him as Deputy Director in Directorate of One Window Operations U. D. Wing, LDA. Muhammad Anwer Siddiqui, Deputy Director Law working in Town Planning Wing, LDA, has been transferred and posted in Directorate of Law, LDA to deal with cases of High Court.

Muhammad Ahsan Latif, Assistant Director Law, working as Deputy Director in Directorate of Law, LDA has also been transferred and posted as Deputy Director Law in Town Planning Wing, LDA Vice Muhammad Anwer Siddiqui.
