RAWALPINDI: Commissioner Rawalpindi Zahid Saeed and MNA Hanif Abbasi held a meeting here Monday to review the progress of the Murree Road fly over project and shifting of utility services from the project site.
Addressing the meeting, MNA Hanif Abbasi said that the contractor firm, NLC, should sprinkle water on the road sides of the project three times a day to save the people living in adjoining areas from dust.

ISLAMABAD: The encroachments by land mafia in G-14 are continuing as apparently no tangible measures have been taken to stop illegal constructions in the area despite ban under Section 144.
It is feared that the genuine people affected in the process of land acquisition, would be deprived of their due compensation and allottees of the plots in the sector would further suffer due to delay in development work and handing over possession of plots to them. It seems that the land mafia was active in all three sub-sectors of G-14 and had been constructing dummy houses with cement blocks and factory prepared roofs to include them in the survey list of build-up property compensation.
